New Delhi [India], October 18 (ANI): After former Delhi Minister Satyendar Jain was granted bail in money laundering case, his daughter Shreya Jain expressed happiness saying, “We always knew this would happen, it’s just a matter of time.”
She further added that with Diwali approaching, Jain’s bail feels like an early celebration for them.
“We always knew this will happen, it is just a matter of time. We are very happy that the court has given us justice. Diwali is about to happen but I think it came early for us this year. We are happy and we have a very enthusiastic welcome,” Shreya said.

Satyendar Jain’s wife Poonam Jain thanked the court and the judiciary for the decision adding that they had faith because the AAP leader had not done anything wrong.
“I thank the court and the judiciary. It was tough but we had faith because he had not done anything wrong in his entire life…We have been waiting for this for a long time…For him this is not politics he is a social worker. He wants to do something for the society,” she said.
After Jain’s bail, Congress leader Supriya Shrinate emphasized the need for swift justice, highlighting the AAP leader prolonged incarceration and seeking accountability from the courts to ensure that justice should also seen to be happening.
“He has been in jail for so many years. The court should also answer how people are kept in jail for years like this. I believe that the court should make sure that justice should also be seen as happening,” the Congress leader said.
Congress national secretary Abhishek Dutt said that getting bail does not mean that Jain has been acquitted. He further slammed the Aam Aadmi Party highlighting that the name of Arvind Kejriwal and his entire battalion are on the top of the corruption list in Delhi.
“Getting bail does not mean that the judge has acquitted him (Satyendra Jain)…When Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia were released from such a big case, they were presenting themselves as freedom fighters…Today, if the names of the people who have done the most corruption in Delhi are taken, the name of Arvind Kejriwal and his entire battalion comes up in it,” Dutt said.
Counsel for Satyendar Jain, Vivek Jain said that most likely the AAP leader will come out today.
“Rouse Avenue Trial Court has granted bail to Satyendar Jain. The trial court said that he has suffered a long incarceration…Most likely he will come out today,” he said.
The Rouse Avenue Court on Friday granted bail to AAP leader Jain in a money laundering case.
He was arrested in May 2022 in this case and Special Judge Vishal Gogne granted bail to Satyendra Jain today.
He has been granted bail on a furnishing bail bond of Rs. 50000 and a surety bond in the like amount.
After hearing the order Jain’s wife and daughter broke down in the court. The court said that Jain has suffered a long incarceration of almost 18 months.
Jain was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on May 30, 2022, on the charge of laundering money. (ANI)
