Dehradun (Uttarakhand) [India], August 25 (ANI): The office bearers of Uttarakhand Rajya Andolankari Manch met Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Saturday at Mukhya Sevak Sadan, located at the Chief Minister’s residence.
Office bearers expressed their gratitude to the Chief Minister for the arrangement of providing 10 percent horizontal reservation in government service for the state agitators.
The Chief Minister said that our goal is to make Uttarakhand of the dream of the state agitators.
In this direction, we are working diligently with a resolve without any alternative. The people of the state will always remember the struggle of the state agitators in the formation of the state.
He said that he has also been a witness to the state formation movement, he has seen the people’s movement of Khatima himself.
The Chief Minister said that the state government can never forget the struggle and sacrifice of the state agitators. Our government is working with commitment towards the development of the state in accordance with their dreams, giving top priority to their facilities.

He said that the state government had decided to give 10 per cent reservation in government jobs to the state agitators and all their dependents, despite all the difficulties, horizontal reservation has now been implemented. This has also fulfilled a big pending demand of the state agitators.
The Chief Minister said that along with increasing the pensions of the state agitators, the state government has also decided to give pensions to their dependents after their deaths. We cannot forget the sacrifice of the martyred state agitators.
The Chief Minister said that our state is continuously moving forward in the direction of development. The state has been ranked first in the index of development released by NITI Aayog.
Under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the state is continuously moving on the path of progress. Work is being done in the state on central schemes worth about 2 lakh crores. Whether it is road construction, school construction or hospital or any work in the interest of the state, there will be no shortage of any kind of funds for this.
He said that we are moving towards making the state a drug-free state, for this not only the government but everyone will have to cooperate.
The Chief Minister said that along with the development of the state, attention is also being paid to environmental protection. In the investor summit held last year, a large number of industrialists are coming to the state for investment. This will provide employment opportunities to our youth in the state itself and will also stop migration.
He said that while solving the problem of illegal encroachment in the state, about 5000 acres of land have been freed from encroachment.
The Chief Minister also expected everyone to cooperate in the development of the state.
During the meeting, Uttarakhand State Movement Forum President Jagmohan Singh Negi, former Vice President of Uttarakhand State Movement Welfare Council Ravindra Jugran, Uttarakhand State Movement Forum State Spokesperson Pradeep Kukreti and a large number of Forum officials were present. (ANI)
