Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], July 13 (ANI): After the BJP secured victory in the Amarwara by-poll in Congress bastion Chhindwara district, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav said that the party’s win shows the people’s faith in “vishwas ki guarantee.”
Speaking with ANI, Yadav said, “I am happy that last time we won the Lok Sabha election in Chhindwara and this time we have also won the Assembly by-election.”
He added further, “‘Janta ne vishwas ki guarantee par apna vishwas jataya.’ (The public expressed their full faith in the guarantee of trust). This faith shows the relationship between the BJP and the public. I would also like to congratulate the people of Madhya Pradesh on this victory of Amarwara.”
Notably, Kamlesh Pratap Shah of BJP secured victory against Congress’ Dheeran Sah Sukharam Das Invati by a vote margin of 3,027. Shah secured 83,105 votes while Invati garnered 80,078 votes.
The counting of votes for the 13 legislative assembly seats spread across seven states began on Saturday morning. Polling took place on July 10 for the assembly seats in Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Uttarakhand, Punjab, and Himachal Pradesh.
The Election Commission held the by-elections in one seat of Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Tamil Nadu, and Punjab, two seats of Uttarakhand, three seats of Himachal Pradesh, and four seats of Uttarakhand.
The constituencies included Amarwara in Madhya Pradesh; Raiganj, Ranaghat Dakshin, Bagda, and Maniktala in West Bengal; Dehra, Hamirpur, and Nalagarh in Himachal Pradesh; Badrinath and Manglaur in Uttarakhand; Jalandhar West in Punjab; Rupauli in Bihar; and Vikravandi in Tamil Nadu.
Meanwhile, Mohan Yadav was in Mumbai for an investment programme. Taking to his official X handle, Yadav said, “Today, in the programme “Investment Opportunities in Madhya Pradesh,” organised in Mumbai, a group discussion was held with the representatives of the industry group and they were invited to invest in Madhya Pradesh.”
Speaking about the investment opportunities in the state, Yadav said, “I am happy that investment is increasing continuously in Madhya Pradesh and a favourable environment has been created in Madhya Pradesh from the point of view of industry and trade, in sectors like energy, tourism, education, mining.”
He added, “In Mumbai, we invited the businesses to come to Madhya Pradesh. The government welcomes them. With the investment, the economy of the state will improve, people will get employment opportunities, and the state will contribute to the country’s GDP.” (ANI)
