He also briefed the Prime Minister on the recent successful anti-Naxal operation in the state. PM Modi commended the bravery of the security forces involved in the operation. During the discussion, Chief Minister Sai thanked the Prime Minister for approving the construction of eight lakh houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana.
The Chief Minister provided detailed updates on the ongoing anti-Naxal operations and the progress of various development projects. He referred to a recent operation in the Narayanpur-Dantewada district, where security forces eliminated 31 Naxals, marking the largest anti-Naxal operation in the state’s history. Chief Minister Sai also presented an overview of other ongoing development initiatives in Chhattisgarh.
He noted that the state government is prioritising infrastructure development, including roads, schools, and hospitals. Special efforts are being made to generate employment and support rural development, particularly to help people in Naxal-affected areas integrate into the mainstream. Prime Minister Modi praised these efforts, emphasising that they are not only restoring peace but also paving the way for further development in the state.
Chief Minister Sai mentioned that the government is running special schemes for youth skill development in Bastar and other tribal areas. These schemes offer technical and vocational training, enabling the youth to pursue higher education and secure better employment opportunities. This initiative is playing a vital role in the social and economic advancement of the state.
In the agricultural sector, Chief Minister Sai informed the Prime Minister that digital technology and advanced farming techniques are being widely implemented in Chhattisgarh, boosting productivity and increasing farmers’ incomes. He noted that these initiatives align with the Prime Minister’s vision for a “Developed India 2047”, with Chhattisgarh playing a key role in this effort.
The state has also made significant strides in education. The Chief Minister told the Prime Minister that children in tribal areas are being taught in their mother tongue, enhancing their educational outcomes. Special attention is also being given to technical education to prepare the state’s youth for modern technological challenges.
Prime Minister Modi praised the Chhattisgarh government’s initiatives, describing the state’s development journey as an inspiration for others. He assured Chief Minister Sai of continued support and cooperation to ensure further progress.
Chief Minister Sai expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Prime Minister Modi for approving a large number of houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Gramin. (ANI)
