Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh) [India], July 10 (ANI): Madhya Pradesh Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) chief VD Sharma on Wednesday extended congratulations to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on receiving Russia’s highest civilian award and said that it was an honour for 140 crore people of the country.
PM Modi was ceremoniously presented with Russia’s highest civilian award, the Order of St Andrew the Apostle at St Catherine’s Hall of Moscow Kremlin on Tuesday.
BJP leader Sharma said, “It is a matter of good fortune for the country that India’s respect and honour has increased in the world under PM Modi’s leadership. During the Prime Minister’s visit to Russia, he was conferred with Russia’s highest civilian award. We congratulate PM Modi. This is the honour of the 140 crore people of the country.”
“It is our good fortune that Narendra Modi is the only Prime Minister of India who has been conferred with the highest civilian honours of various countries for the most number of times. Muslim countries like UAE have also conferred Modi with the highest civilian honour of their country. More than 15 countries have conferred Modi the highest civilian honours of their country,” he added.
The BJP Chief further said that PM Modi worked on the concept of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam (world is a family), which is an important principle of Indian culture, as a result of which the entire world was impressed by PM Modi’s working style.
“There was a time when people used to ignore India but today, under the leadership of PM Modi, the entire world wants to respect India. PM Modi worked on the concept of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam, which is an important principle of Indian culture, as a result of which the whole country and the whole world is impressed by PM Modi’s working style and is honouring him today,” Sharma said.
Notably, the award was bestowed on PM Modi in the year 2019, but he received it physically on Tuesday.
Russian President Vladimir Putin presented the award to PM Modi, for his distinguished contribution to the development of a privileged strategic partnership between Russia and India and friendly ties between the two countries.
Meanwhile, the BJP Chief also said that there was great news for the state in the National Statistical Office (NSO) report that six lakhs jobs had been created in the state in the last seven years.
“There is great news for Madhya Pradesh in the NSO report that six lakh jobs have been created in the state in the last seven years. I would like to tell the people of the opposition who are criticising that if they read this report carefully, then they will realise how employment opportunities have been created for the youth in the BJP government,” he said.
He further extended congratulations to Chief Minister Mohan Yadav and the state government for the same. (ANI)
